Discussion:

How interesting to learn the background of the Ayaat and how the use of grammar places emphasis on certain points.

Should we attribute Peace be Upon Him to Al-Khidr since he is considered a Prophet?

Quran: Tajweed

We are following a book from our library that is not copyrighted.

Tajweed for Beginners  Prepared by Qari Ismail Essack

Sister Alia substituted for Sister Shimaa and continued the lesson about  Makhaarij

Aqsal Lisan  Harooful-Lahaatiyyah  Harooful-Lahwiyyah     Back of the Tongue Letters

Wasatal Lisan   Middle Tongue   Harooful-Shajriyyah

She used the notes in the book Page 17 and the following two pictures to aid our understanding.

A Temporary Gift

Sister Winnie read: Love Extending, & An External Love

 Pages 136-7

Link to Purchase a pdf                Link to buy

Discussion:

Allah, swt, gave us the gift of love, not just romantic love.  This love can take many forms and levels. You can love different people in different ways.  You can get various and different benefits from these different forms of love. Always try to show your appreciation for those in your life that you love.  Whether in person or with a dua.

When we see a sister in Hijab, there is an instant bond, an instant love for my Muslim Sister.

Seerah Gems

We listened from minute 28:10 to 35:46

Seerah of Prophet Muhammed 1 - Specialities of Prophet Muhammed - Yasir Qadhi | April 2011

Discussion:  Appreciate the miracle of the Quran.

Nurturing Eman in Children

Sister Rim read the following finishing the second section.

Part Two: Connecting Children to Pillars of Islam Chapter 10

Responsibility and Accountability

The Nature of this world

Discussion:  A great reminder and analogy to a traveller. When we focus on the hereafter, Allah, swt. will fill our lives with contentment.
