Intro:

Following the results of our recent survey, we decided to make some small adjustments
to our Halaqa to try to incorporate some of the ideas we received.  Sisters will be able to
choose what parts of the Halaqa they will like to cover, based on their arrival.
They can pick a section from the ones posted. Also, we will be encouraging more
discussion after each section.  (See the yellow highlights)

Today, is a trial of this new format.

OPENING DUA

O Allah, bless this Halaqa, allow us to gain, act upon and share beneficial knowledge.
Guide us, forgive our sins and grant us Jannah with our families and loved ones.

QURAN: READING

We read Surah Fatihah aloud altogether, then sisters individually read aloud a few words, ayahs
(according to her ability and with the help and encouragement of her fellow sisters). We read Surah Al-Hijr
verses 1-15.  In sha Allah, this will be an ongoing part of our Halaqa and one day in sha Allah, we will have
Khatam Quran and begin again.
Sisters read an English Approximation (Sahih International) of the above verses.

Extra: We started reading a new Surah, so we read a short overview of the Surah. https://quran.com/15

Note:
Once we finished our Quran reading we implemented our new format.  All the different
components of the Halaqa were written on post-it notes and displayed.  The first sister
to arrive chose the next section. Then, after that section, the sister who arrived second
chose. This pattern continued on to the end of the Halaqa.  Sisters enjoyed this format,
so in sha Allah, we will be contining with it.
