Session Two 11:30 AM:

Children’s Focus

Last week, the children told us they wanted to learn about Angels. One was curious about an angel wrestling with a Prophet.

In Islam, we do not have any stories about this but later in today’s lesson, we will tell you a true story about Prophet Muhammad and a Wrestling Champion.

Having questions and being curious is excellent. Turn to your Parents with these questions, as they will try their best to find out the answers and discuss it with you.

When you talk with your friends, share stories and knowledge that you know is true.

How can you know it is true?

By checking with your parents!

Has anyone ever seen an Angel?

The most famous Angel, Jibreel, appeared to Prophet Muhammed and to the mother of Prophet Isa. Both times, Angel Jibreel looked differently. Angels can appear in many forms and they have many jobs.

Do Angels get tired?

No, they don’t, they do whatever Allah wants and they never get tired or complain. Many of them worship Allah all the time with their own special prayers and tasbeeh. Some have special jobs.

Look at this picture, what do you think is the Angel’s job?

Mika’eel peace be upon him

What is the mother owl doing?

Allah, swt loves us so much HE gave us two Guardian Angels that are in front and behind us. They protect us from harm.

Look at these pictures, what is happening?

We have an Angel on each side of us. They are called Writing Angels

Can we draw pictures of Angels?

No one really knows what real Angels look like. If someone draws a picture of an Angel it is just their imagination therefore it is best not to draw these pictures.
