Sister Sara shared with us her reflections on an event that happened yesterday. The water went out in her apt for over 9 hours. Truly water is a blessing that we take for granted and that we should realise the small stresses we have in our lives are not so Major or deserving of such panic. Enjoy life, Appreciate Allah’s blessings.
Dua to say when startled taken from “Fortress of the Muslim”
245 - "None has the right to be worshipped except Allah."
لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ
Lâ ilâha illâ l-lâhu.
Sister Rim volunteered to read aloud the following article.
Sister Winnie introduced our new blog. She explained that the goal was to have a place online where all our Halaqa summaries could easily be accessed by our members. She is asking the Halaqa sisters to review this blog over the next two weeks, to share their comments and suggestions before launching it to our general membership. Of course, our members are encouraged to bring to our attention any mistakes, or errors as this new blog allows for comments and feedback from our members.
For the expiation of sins, said at the conclusion of a sitting or gathering
196 - "How perfect You are O Allah, and I praise You. I bear witness that None has the right to be worshipped except You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance."
Subhânaka l-lâhumma wa bi-hamdika. Ash-hadu an lâ ilâha illâ anta, astaghfiruka wa atûbu ilayka.
If any of this information was good and true, know that it comes from Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. If there are mistakes we ask for Allah’s Forgiveness and Mercy.
