O Allah, bless this Halaqa, allow us to gain, act upon and share beneficial knowledge. Guide us, forgive our sins and grant us Jannah with our families and loved ones. Ameen
- QURAN RECITATION
We read Surah Fatihah aloud altogether, then sisters individually read aloud a few letters/words, ayahs (according to her ability and with the help and encouragement of her fellow sisters). We read Surah Al-Anfaal from Ayat 9 to Ayat 33. In sha Allah, this will be an ongoing part of our Halaqa and one day in sha Allah, we will have Khatam Quran and begin again.
- NEXT HALAQA and News
In sha Allah, our next Halaqa will be held in two weeks on Jan.19th at Sister Sara’s place.
A new service has started by one of our Shura members. We are very pleased to launch it today. Sister Safiyyah (Rebecca) has been helping our new Muslim sisters adjust to their new life with her professional training and personal insight. She is now launching her website Muslimah Life Coaching offering one-on-one coaching for sisters looking to improve their lives and achieve their goals. We are blessed to have such a needed and vital service available our community, and pray for her success and barakah in her new endeavour.
- SISTERS FUN
Sisters enjoyed the fun competition of Online Islamic Quizzes - Quiz 1
Sister Rim had a wonderful idea to keep score using a private WhatsApp group. The questions were shown on a large screen and then sisters all recorded their answers with WhatsApp.
It was a fun way to test our knowledge and inspire us to acquire more in sha Allah. Here are links to the quizzes we answered:
- CHILDRENS FUN
The children enjoyed playing together and after the Sisters Quizzes, they joined in on the fun.
After watching the following videos with some delicious snacks, they eagerly participated in a
special quiz just for them. Each correct answer was rewarded with a small prize (and big smiles!)
and each child received at least two prizes.
