OPENING DUA
O Allah, bless this Halaqa, allow us to gain, act upon and share beneficial knowledge.
Guide us, forgive our sins and grant us Jannah with our families and loved ones.
O my Lord increase me in knowledge*. رَّبِّ زِدْنِى عِلْمًا Ameen
QURAN: READING
(according to her ability and with the help and encouragement of her fellow sisters). We read Surah Al-Hijr
verses 16-31. In sha Allah, this will be an ongoing part of our Halaqa and one day in sha Allah, we will have
Khatam Quran and begin again.
Sisters read an English Approximation (Sahih International) of the above verses after our Tajweed lesson.
QURAN: TAJWEED
Sister Dania listened to our recitation and then chose to instruct us on the proper recital of the arabic letter noon.
Then we listened to Sheikh Husary’s recitation of a few verses from Surah Al-Hijr that have this rule.
QURAN: TAFSIR
We have chosen to use Tafsir Ibn Kathir Volume 5
We chose to read from the following sections.
Verse 28-33
