We read Surah Fatihah aloud altogether. Then Sister Alia read Surah Al-Israa verses 97-104, followed by Sister Rim, reading the English Approximation.  In sha Allah, this will be an ongoing part of our Halaqa and one day in sha Allah,
we will have Khatam Quran and begin again.

Children’s Focus

Discussing Prophet Musa saws with the children. They shared their knowledge and answered
some of the following questions and then agreed to learn more after the Halaqa.

What are some of the signs that Prophet Musa was a Prophet of Allah, swt ?

What are locusts called in Arabic?  Jarad

Are you allowed to eat locusts?

Hadiths two dead animals we can eat, fish and locusts.

Did Prophet Muhammad eat locusts?

No, but he did not prohibit people from eating them

How did Prophet Muhammad describe the sound a frog makes?

In his Sunnan, al-Bayhaqi included the hadith narrated by Ibn 'Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both):
Do not kill frogs; indeed, its croaking is tasbeeh.
al-Bayhaqi said that its chain of transmission is authentic.

Any similarities between the signs of Musa and the Covid-19 virus?

They are both from Allah, swt.

Do some research about locusts or frogs and draw a picture?
