We read Surah Fatihah aloud altogether, then sisters individually read aloud a few letters/words, ayahs (according to her ability and with the help and encouragement of her fellow sisters).  We read Surah Ali-Imran from Ayat 122  till Ayat 153.  In sha Allah, this will be an ongoing part of our halaqa and one day in sha Allah, we will have Khatam Quran and begin again.

Sisters shared their research on the names of Allah chosen the week before. Click on each name to read more.

Sister Sara shared with us her reflections on an event that happened yesterday.  The water went out in her apt for over 9 hours.  Truly water is a blessing that we take for granted and that we should realise the small stresses we have in our lives are not so Major or deserving of such panic.  Enjoy life, Appreciate Allah’s blessings.

Sister Winnie introduced our new blog.  She explained that the goal was to have a place online where all our Halaqa summaries could easily be accessed by our members.  She is asking the Halaqa sisters to review this blog over the next two weeks, to share their comments and suggestions before launching it to our general membership.  Of course, our members are encouraged  to bring to our attention any mistakes, or errors as this new blog allows for comments and feedback from our members.

If any of this information was good and true, know that it comes from Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala.  If there are mistakes we ask for Allah’s Forgiveness and Mercy.
